There is a problem with Bulk E-mailer module v45.06.12. When viewing the newsletter online, the special characters (é, à, ç, â ...) are (sometimes) displayed incorrectly. We tried to find when (browser, mail programme, the order when opening) they are displayed correctly and when incorrectly, but can’t find any pattern.

Please upload to this thread an example of an original html email so we can test.

Can you confirm that if you browse to that link now, that it is displaying all characters correctly?
Then can you give me a URL to the link that you have in BE and explain what is not correct about it?

Hi,
No I can't confirm that, on the contrary.
This is copy paste of the introduction:

We have found that the error is caused by the HTML encoding header component for this display page. We have tagged this for update in a future release.
Use our DotNetNuke Module Update News page to track this.

Hi,
I posted this issue in March and would like a solution for it.
The view online or archive of newsletters can't be used.
The customer is getting insatisfied and frustrated and so are we.
Could you please take another look at it and solve it.
Or at least provide me with a date when it would be solved.
many thanks,
Anna

Thank you again for your enquiry. As yet we have not scheduled release date for this and you may be able to appreciate that the release schedules that we have been working on have been significantly impacted by the change that DotNetNuke made to the snowcovered store.as a matter of fact the candid manner in which DotNetNuke make significant changes like this that massively impact our products, have caused us to step back and take stock of exactly how and why we developed the DotNetNuke as a platform.
We do value customers very much, and appreciate that this is an issue for you which is why we still have it as a listed improvement. That's been said, you are the only person to have reported this problem.

Hi,
I do understand that changes in DotNetNuke influences your business. That's the same for us.
But for me it is not an excuse not solving issues there are with a module you made. You are still responsible for it.
I bought a module and want it to be working. At this moment I have an insatisfied customer and I have to deal with it. The customer is right. It is not too much to ask that a solution is provided after two months. They want to know when it will be solved and even that you can't say.
Would you solve it if more people reported this problem? I know a lot of people who use your module. I don't mind asking it on twitter to submit this issue so I can help my customer. You should know for every customer complaining, 9 others aren't and maybe are looking elsewhere without communicating about it.
Kindest regards,
Anna

This issue goes deep. Deep with e-mail encoding, email clients, SMTP send methods and Microsoft HTML / MHTML encoding.
We looked and worked out we could waste weeks literally and not have a reliable solution, as the environments that the module can be used on are infinite. Being that you are the only one reporting a problem, and it is only with very particular character sets in your language, we are not in the position to throw weeks of resources at this problem in light of the fact that DNN corp have made us work much tighter since they stuffed the store sales.
So it is not so much of an excuse as an economic reality.
Happy to give you a refund and deactivate the license if you like.

I feel responsible for my customer and want to solve it.
So if we would pay for it, how much would it cost to fix it?
