Error while sending bulk mail  (Netherlands)
Hi,
I recently installed the module and when i input the host settings in SMTP config and send a test mail it works. But when i try to send a campain email using bulk mail I get the following error...

  1. The version of the BulkEmailer

  2. The SMTP server type, i.e. is he using SSL or the port number is different?

  3. Is it possible to have the login to take a look?

1. the version is 45.05.54
2. It is called SmarterMail
3. where can i email the host login to. Posting it on a forum is not a good idea.

Please upgrade your version first, as there are 12 releases past that one.

I upgraded to the latest version, but now i get the same error when trying to send a test mail from the smtp config menu, is there a way to connect to the server without cram-md5?

Does your smtp server require SSL?
 
If you do not use the SMTP setting in the module, but use the default SMTP settings in the site, what do you get?

The server does not require ssl. And sending from the smtp settings from the host-menu works just fine...

That makes it sound like settings.. but in any case, just use those settings.

If i use 'get host settings' it still gives the cram-md5 error while in dnn it works...

For the fun of it I tried to set the host email settings to anonymous and guess what.. the server accepts it!
 
It seems to work just fine now!!!

Glad you got it worked out. We find SMTP settings are often at tricky situation for people. We always suggest to people reading this post, that they read the section in the manual carefully for details on tricks with SMTP settings.
