The solution to this lies with a line in the web.config

There is an option in your web.config file in your dnn structure that will look like this:

<trust level="Medium" originUrl="http://localhost/.*" />

Please edit this line to be one of two options.

1. <trust level="Full" originUrl="http://localhost/.*" /> 2. <!-- trust level="Medium" originUrl="http://localhost/.*" / -->

Option 1. Is to set full trust level.

Option 2 is to comment out this filed. This is the default DNN web.config settings.

Sometimes hosting providers like GoDaddy override this setting in the machine.config (at a higher level than web.config) and globally lock this to Medium Trust. The Silverlight Media Player module will not operate in a medium trust environment.
