Hi there, Has this new release had any changes that will now make it work in regards to this thread: http://www.interactivewebs.com.au/Support/tabid/160/forumid/5/threadid/678/scope/posts/language/en-US/Default.aspx Thanks Rob
Yes it has.
Thanks for the questions. Let’s see how we might assist you.
1. The license issue. I realise how having to jump through hoops as we integrate security into the modules would be annoying. That being said, however we have every intention of allow free upgrades for all users who have purchased a module within the last 6 months and now upgrade to a module with activation security. The modules are 100% functional while they are in the free trial mode, so this leaves a couple of weeks to sort out a key from us. All you would have to do is request be given and we would pass it on.
On this note I would ask you to understand our side a little.... We did a little tracking of some of our modules and uses they were getting and found that a huge number of modules were unlicensed or used in multiple portals with only a single license sold. While you may have never abused a license or shared a module with another site. You unfortunately are the minority, as we found the abuse to be prolific.
The good news on this front is that while we sell the modules with 6 months free updates as part of the agreement, with security we as yet don't see a need to prevent users upgrading indefinitely. (while not making that policy, we see that as the future).
So the be clear on Your license - Nothing has been revoked, we just need to send you a key for activation.
2. You asked if we updated regarding the other thread, the answered is still a yes. It would appear that your site may have a very particular problem with the scheduler. We have not had any other reports or experiences of the nature you mention. We did do a potential bug hunt and made some changes to what we thought could be a cause. However judging by your results we were not on the money here.
Have you considered sorting out the scheduler issue with that site in question?
