About language and configuration  (Netherlands)

Hi David,

I'am using DNN 5.2.3.
Advanced Login version 45.1.17
DSLocalization of Locopon

Yesterday I upgraded to the latest version of the advanced login module.
There were so many changes that I did a restore.
Here some question.

1. Languages
I noticed that there 2 levels of translation needed for the advanced module.
- Admin->languages->Desktop modules->Advanced login.
- Advanced login module->configuration.

When changing language with DNN, the language translated in Admin->languages->Desktop modules->Advanced login, will display.
The properties in the Module->configuration will not be translated.
I noticed with the new version that there are many more possibilities and need translating.

Q
Can this be achieved by the dslocalization?
For example:
Install 1 module for the English version and 1 module for the Dutch version?
When clicking the appropiate language flag in DNN will show the correct translated module to login?

2. installing
It is a while ago that I installed the Advanced Login module.
- I made a new page
- Installed the Advanced login module
- Installed a DNN login module (because otherwise the Adv.Login module did not work)

Q.
Is this still needed?
Can I safely remove the DNN->login module?

3. display
When I did was playing with the setting in the new Adv. Login, I choose the Blue template.
I noticed the 2 buttons with login and register where very, very tiny.
Almost not to read.
They where also adjusted tot the right of the page.
I changed right to middle, however this was not working.

Q.
How to adjust the size of these buttons?
How to display them in the middle?

 With regards, Ton Hermes

Re: About language and configuration  (Australia)
It sounds like the : DSLocalization of Locopon
is allowing you to have separate pages per language. In that case, the method you suggest will likely work.

That is to have two instances of the module, and two installed language packs, or language settings in the DNN language area. This way, the second instance of the module could be configured to display a separate instance of the template when hit.

Best way to check this would be to try on another site.

2. If you follow the manual, you will see that you need to have the DNN login module on the page. That is a DNN setting we cannot do anything about that. All of this is in the manual.

3.  The display settings for all the items int he module are controlled in the CSS of the module. You can also put button images in place of the text links.

Re: About language and configuration  (Netherlands)
Hi,

The setup with 2 instances of the module and DSLocalization of Locopon works OK.
The problem with the tiny buttons is resolved also.
I had to perform a hard refresh in IE8 and after that the buttons where displaying correct.

Thanks for the advice,
With regards, Ton Hermes
