Migrating MD5 password to ASP.NET SHA1  (Malaysia)
Hi

I need to migrate some users from an old system using MySQL: MD5 encryption to DNN.
I have migrated the users with no issue. They can login if I have a test SHA1 encrypted password in Password field.
I have changed the DNN core code to validate the MD5 password but it seems the login process is not going through the DNN code but through the advanced login code which is not included in the module (I understand the fact that I am not allowed to have the code which you guys have developed).

what do you advice?

thanks :)

We would advise that while you are using a modified core of DNN. You cannot use Advanced Login module for user authentication.

But we are using Advanced Login. There should be other ways to get the MD5 passwords to work. Will investigate.
Thanks Anyway.
