Login with URL  (Israel)
Is it possible to pass user name and pw to the login url http://www.advancedhiring.com/Advanced-Login.aspx?returnurl=%2fDefault.aspx

We have a number of users and it would be helpful to be able to quickly login as them by passing their user name and pw.

Re: Login with URL  (Australia)
The module has not got this feature, and although it is easy to add we are not likely to include it.

The feature would open up a significant security risk, especially with brute force hacks. For this reason, we think it is best avoided.

Unless you can think of a good way to avoid that?

Yeah,

Have the CRM sync contacts with the DNN site, that then allows users to manage pass and access using the DNN system. AKA Normal access.

We have done this for Microsoft CRM.  http://www.interactivewebs.com/crm

Re: Login with URL  (Israel)
We're using TeleMagic -- we've been users since 1991 starting in DOS.

This is for us so we can go in as the client and look at data that is being displayed for them.

We pass their address to a function to look at googlemap and name to look at  linkedin profile. Wanted to do the same thing to look at their data in the dnn site. (We synch contacts, counts of activities, etc back and forth between dnn and  telemagic)

Thought since the site is on the same box you might have an idea on how to do it securely.

If you say it shouldn't be done I believe you. My experience with you guys is you are very up on DNN.

Re: Login with URL  (Australia)
We have similar functionality that we build into our modules. As an example, we have a license management tab: http://www.interactivewebs.com/Suppor...
that if you log in with an account that has the same email address as your license purchases, the module picks up on your history of module license purchases and activation, and will display your related data directly to you as a users.

We have the ability as administrators, to simulate via way or URL or email address, the details that a user would see when hitting that page. The idea is that we do not want to play "log in, log out" all the time, but we remain logged in as an admin, but stimulate the page and module to give us the same experience that a user would see.

Can I suggest that this approach may work for you. Rather than actually logging in and out all the time, just stay logged in as a user, and make the modules that display the data you see, have the ability to "simulate" a user, but way of user ID etc.

Secure, and easier to use.

Sorry for the delay. Actually thought I had responded...

Are you saying this functionality you've built in to modules could be adapted to TeleMagic?

I was assuming that you have some sort of module that interacts with that already, and that your module developer could add functionality like I describe.
