go directly to registration page?  (Japan)
Hi,

This is the final step in my workflow using your module, I need to be able to send a user directly to the registration page and I just cant figure it out

I have the module on a login page and set it as DNN default login page, and some for a registration page.

I am not using the DNN token, I am trying to send a user directly to the registration page via a URL link sent to their email account so the url looks like www.mysite/register.aspx
this will automatically load the DNN page of course but it shows the registration form. but if I direct it to a page where Advanced Login Module lives ie.
www.mysite/ALregister.aspx the advanced login control opens showing the login screen.

is there something I can include in the url to open the registration form first?

Thanks for the help

Mark

This is something that is a good idea. We will add a URL option that allows this. Keep an eye out for an update that mentions this.

Hi,

I noticed there was an update released on 6.11 but reviewing the release notes on your site I am not sure, did you implement the above mentioned feature?
Or is this still to come?

Thanks

Mark

Re: go directly to registration page?  (Australia)

This was included, but not yet documented.

This is how you use it.

Show Registration Form – To show the registration form when the user hits the page with the module on it, you can add “?showregister=true” (without the “”) to the URL of the page. For example, if the page URL was this one: http://www.interactivewebs.com/Admin/Login/tabid/2030/language/en-US/Default.aspxThen adding the URL parameter would look like this: http://www.interactivewebs.com/Admin/Login/tabid/2030/language/en-US/Default.aspx?showregister=trueThis causing the registration form to be shown.

Re: go directly to registration page?  (Japan)
Excellent! it works

I dont wish to dump on you though but it seems that using ?showregister=true&?returnurl= ....... do not work well together.
It seems returnurl gets nullified and removerd from the url. I thought it might be my settings only but I tested it on this site by adding showregistration=true to the URL of a login page then loggin in and I am returned to the home page.

please check it out. I hope this is not a limitation of DNN itself.

Thanks for all the hard work

Mark

Hi,

I noticed there was a new module release. Were you able to tackle this issue?

BTW. I went to install the new build .39 but in the install wizard the manifest says it is still .38 so I didn't install

The parameter will work with the example you have given.
