Archived Items - Issue

Good Day,
More than half the entries have been archived in our AnnounceIT Listing.
I've tried changing the archived dates on the archived items, hoping that the items will reappear in the normal listing.
This has not works and now those entries that were edited are missing from the archived section.
Can you tell me what to do with respect to removing the items from the archived section and placing those items in the normal listing?

The version is 40.02.05
I'm beginning to see the entries from the listings i changed. The entries are showing in the main listing and is not showing under the category that it was assigned to before being archived.
