CRM E-mail Router Configurations Manager cannot connect to Windows 2008 CRM 4.0 Server

We found that no matter the settings for a CRM server in E-mail Router Configuration Manager, we could not get the router to connect to the CRM server and 'load data'.

The problem was to do with the IPv6 that is loaded with Windows 2008 server. The solution...

  1. Click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then click regedit.exe in the Programs list.
  2. In the User Account Control dialog box, click Continue.
  3. In Registry Editor, locate and then click the following registry subkey:
  4. Double-click DisabledComponents to modify the DisabledComponents entry.
  5. Set the Value of the DWORD to Hex: 0xffffffff  or 4294967295
Additional Comments
This removed the IPv6 from the CRM server allows it to function correctly.
